A lorry was left hanging over an underpass in Penparcau, near Aberystwyth, this afternoon after leaving the road.
As schoolchildren were leaving Ysgol Llwyn yr Eos in Penparcau, the articulated lorry left the road at around 3.23pm and its front wheel was left hanging precariously over the underpass, which is used frequently by parents and children.
The road is currently closed according to Dyfed-Powys Police, with officers, the fire service and council officials on the scene.
The Ceredigion County Council spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident involving an articulated lorry at the top of Penybont Hill and will be closing the road whilst recovery and repair works are undertaken.
"The alternative route for traffic will be along the A487 through Trefechan and down Park Avenue/Boulevard St Brieuc for northbound traffic, and vice-versa for southbound traffic."
No injuries have been reported.
