A DEVOTED dog is helping a mountain rescue team find casualties this summer.

Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team has been conducting training exercises to keep members in tip top condition during a spate of recent call outs.

Prominent with the team’s precautionary practices was Sion the search dog who helped mountain rescuers find a ‘victim’ with a broken leg (right).

A spokesperson for the team said: “Thank you to our search dog Sion for guiding us to the ‘patient’ promptly and thanks to Emlyn and Dave for arranging the session.”
