POLICE in Aberystwyth are investigating a fire which took place at a conservation area just off the cycle track between Trefechan and Rhydyfelin.

The fire, which saw a wooden hut in the area sustain “significant fire damage” happened sometime in the early hours of Sunday, 24 April, and is being treated by police as suspicious.

The location is popular with cyclists and dog walkers and police are appealing to anyone with information to contact Aberystwyth Police Station on 101.
