A MOTORCYCLIST had to be airlifted to hospital by air ambulance after colliding with a hedgerow near Crymych at Saturday lunchtime.
A Mid and West Wales Fire Service spokesman said Crymych firefighters were called out to the scene on the A478 at 12.15pm.
“Upon attendance, crews were faced with one casualty on the roadway and provided first aid to the individual until the attendance of a paramedic.
“After some roadside first aid by the ambulance service, the casualty was conveyed to hospital via air ambulance.
“Crews remained at the scene to clear the roadway and make safe before leaving at approximately 2.34pm.”
The Ceredigion Roads Policing Unit has called for any witnesses to dial police non-emergency number 101, and quote message 142.
