FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze at a house in Aberystwyth this morning (Saturday).

An Aberystwyth fire crew attended the blaze at around 8am, at the upper storey of a house on Sea View Place.

Police were also in attendance, and the lower half of the street, towards South Road, was cordoned off while emergency services tackled the blaze.

All residents were evacuated safely after neighbours raised the alarm.

The road reopened this lunchtime (Saturday).
