Madam,

Congratulations to Pwllheli’s mayor Henry Rees-Williams and his dedicated team of stalwarts, whose unstinting efforts made last Saturday’s Parêd Pwllheli such a memorable occasion for the hundreds of plucky lion-hearted youngsters, who braved the challenging weather.

Their spirited enthusiasm was a breath of fresh air, which will hopefully encourage more people (myself included) to stop praising the past and denouncing the young. Too many people appear to be developing into cantankerous grumblers. Thankfully, Pwllheli continues to be able to find the leaders who can generate team spirit.
