The A44 between Aberystwyth and Llangurig is impassable, police have said.

Dyfed-Powys Police earlier issued a warning to drivers that conditions on the A44 through the Cambrian Mountains were treacherous due to the snow.

The Trunk Roads Agency is on scene with a snow plough, police said.

The Nant yr Arian forestry centre near Ponterwyd closed earlier today because of the weather.

Snow is also affecting other parts of the county including Eisteddfa Gurig, Tregaron and Llangeitho.
