Aberdyfi enjoyed a busy Bank Holiday weekend, especially on Sunday when Dyfi Fest Carnival Day took place.

Resident Doris O'Keefe said visitors and residents enjoyed a full day of activities and family entertainment at Wharf Gardens, finishing with a spectacular fireworks display in the evening. Thanks to Doris for information and images about the events.

The carnival parade set off from Aberdyfi Lifeboat Station and featured Aberdyfi Fire Engines - small and large - and Clwb Hwylio Dyfi/ Dyfi Yacht Club's youth Pirates and Pirate Ship, accompanied by lively creatures from the Dyfi estuary.

Stormy Stan was also in the colourful procession, which wound its way up to Penhelig and then back to the lifeboat station, much  to the delight of everyone watching along the route.
