Kind-hearted Aberystwyth audiences have raised £1,000 for Cyfeillion Bronglais Hospital League of Friends (CBLF).

During August, Aberystwyth Arts Centre selected CBLF as one of the charities to benefit from a series of exit collections held after performances of the venue’s summer season show, ‘Calendar Girls’.

CBLF is grateful to the theatre and all of the audience members who gave so generously.

Charity spokesperson Rhian Daives said: “Thanks to the kindness of theatre-goers and the dedication of Aberystwyth Arts Centre staff who organised and collected the donations.

“A fantastic £1,000 was raised for CBLF.”

The money will be used to help the charity to enhance facilities at Bronglais Hospital and support local NHS community services, benefiting patients, staff and families alike.
