Industry leaders have been honoured for their contribution to the agricultural and rural industries in Wales, including two men from Gwynedd.
The Welsh National Panel and the National Moderators Panel for the Council of Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies scrupulously consider many applications made each year, and a number of applicants have been granted the coveted title of fellow, including Dylan Tudur Jones of Bryn-Rhydd, Edern, Pwllheli and Arwyn M Owen of Beddgelert.
Mr Jones, who was unable to attend the awards, won for his submission, titled Grassland Management.
Mr Owen’s winning submission was titled Supporting Hill Farming through Public Engagement.
The awards were presented at a reception held on Tuesday, 23 July, at the Royal Welsh Show.
The other winners were: Colin Gordon of Llanrhidian, Gower; Aled Owen of Penyfed, Tynant, Corwen; Dr Iwan Owen of Caersws; David Phillips of Windsor Farm, Lamphey; Janet Phillips of Pen-y-Gelli, Bethel Road, Caernarfon; Robert Rattray or Ffos-y-Fuwch, New Cross, Aberystwyth; and Julie Thomas of Caerlan Farm, Tonypandy.
