‘Repugnant’ graffiti featuring Nazi symbols and ‘White Lives Matter’ have been daubed on a woodland footpath in Aberystwyth in what has been dubbed a “cowardly act”.
Walkers in Penglais Woods discovered the graffiti last week, and it was reported to Ceredigion County Council.
Ceredigion council told the Cambrian News that “work is under way” to clean off the graffiti, that featured a swastika, and other hate symbols.
County councillor for the ward, Mark Strong, condemned the perpetrators as “cowards”.
“I find it repugnant,” Cllr Strong told the Cambrian News. “The person, or persons that sprayed it are cowards, because they did it to offend people under the cover of darkness.”
“Our community should not, cannot and will not tolerate any fascist dogma. I am glad it was reported.”
