JD Sports has closed its Aberystwyth store.
The national sportswear retailer closed its doors at 9 Great Darkgate Street for good over the weekend.
The company has been approached for comment as to why the store is closed.
Boxes can be seen piled up at the entrance to the store and a poster in the window reads: “We are now closed. Looking for your favourite brands? Find them at your nearest JD Store or shop online.”
The closure comes a week after Poundland staff found themselves locked out of their store after Peacocks, who now own the building, evicted the troubled discount chain.

Work is however taking place inside the former Poundland store with Peacocks planning on opening a branch at the former Woolworths store.
A couple of empty shops are however being filled.
Dyfed Menswear opened a store at 37 Great Darkgate Street on Monday and GamePark, which is currently situated on Northgate Street is moving into the former Vodafone store.

GamePark is an independent local game store that stocks and supplies everything tabletop, be it wargaming, roleplaying, cards, or board games and is looking to move into the new premises in the coming weeks.
