Lynn Francis, principal archivist from Gwynedd Council’s Archives Service, said: “With the interest growing, it is very possible that these courses which will give guidance on the best way to go about tracing their family history are bound may prove very popular.

“The course will provide tips and guidance on how to set about tracing your family history, with specialist staff on-hand to provide assistance.

“The courses will be an opportunity to look at different kinds of sources and evidence. One of the talks will give a case study, and another session will provide an opportunity where you can question the archivists. Those attending will receive an information pack.”

Family history courses will be held at the Caernarfon Record Office on Saturday, 18 February at 10am to 1pm (through the Welsh language) and 2pm to 5pm (through English).
