First of all I congratulate you for giving Cllr Edwards front page coverage on his issues with this ongoing problem with campervans on the south promenade.

It is unbelievable that this has been allowed to happen. We have a town to be proud of and a wonderful promenade, people from afar and our countryside love a stroll along the front, but now not many venture much further south than Castle Point because that area now resembles a caravan park.

The general behaviour there during a pandemic is totally unacceptable; the stench, the rubbish and all the other things mentioned in last week’s edition.

Also on two separate occasions I have confronted two rowdy groups of men who were using the shelter on the north prom as a toilet. I was given a load of abuse. When I approached a policeman he stated he could not do anything about it and to report it to the council.

The elderly and the disabled have been in lockdown for many weeks, free parking the length of the promenade should have been given to them and not people who show no respect for the town or its people.
