A woman from Morfa Nefyn has had her long locks lopped off for charity.

Arnie Rooke-Dennis, 54, has cut off her hair and donated it to The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss.

As well as donating her hair to this very worthy cause, Arnie also raised money for another charity, Pancreatic Cancer Action, which helps to save lives through earlier diagnosis.

The decision to raise money for this charity was an easy one for Arnie as she lost a good friend, Val Jones of Caffi Albi in Nefyn, to the disease in August 2017.

Money is still being raised with Arnie accepting donations and there are sponsorship forms at Kar a Lyns Hair Studio at Pwllheli, where Arnie’s hair was cut, and at the Chemist in Nefyn.

This is the second time in eight years that Arnie has had her hair cut for The Little Princess Trust.

It has taken her three years to grow it.

Stylist Lynwen Pritchard cut Arnie’s hair, and she was accompanied to the hairdressers by friend and supporter Joan Coppin, sister-in-law of the late Val Jones.
