ARRIVA Trains Wales have introduced a summer timetable with slight changes to departure and arrival times.
The summer timetable which came into action on Sunday has been made in response to customer feedback. Two Sunday services will have their times changed in the new timetable:
• 17.36 (Sun) Pwllheli to Machynlleth will be retimed 2 minutes later between Tywyn and Dovey Junction due to operational reasons.
• 18.55 (Sun) Machynlleth to Pwllheli will be retimed 5 minutes later between Tywyn and Pwllheli due to operational reasons.
All changes have been made in consultation with the Welsh Government, Network Rail and other key partners.
Lynne Milligan, customer services director said: “Every day thousands of customers use our services across the network to connect to something that is important to them. We always review our timetable and make changes where possible to help improve the services that we provide to our local communities.
“We also continue to work closely with Network Rail as they deliver improvement works on our network especially along the south Wales mainline corridor where preparation for electrification is gaining momentum. Some services heading eastwards from Cardiff Central will have to depart earlier from Cardiff as trains will be running on the secondary set of tracks between Cardiff and Newport.”
