BARMOUTH author Les Darbyshire has presented a cheque for £750 to Rhian Davenport of the Wales Air Ambulance.

Les raised the money by selling his latest book, Our Backyard War, West Meirioneth WW2.

Containing the author’s own collection of photographs, the book gives readers a fresh insight into this period.
