A trail that celebrates the poetry of renowned Cardigan bard Dic Jones is to get an overhaul to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death this year.
The former Archdruid farmed at Hendre, Blaenannerch, and wrote many of his award-winning poetry while walking around the farm and local countryside.
His son, Brychan Llyr, created a poetry trail near Hendre which celebrates Dic’s verse, poetry and wit with ceramic tiles and forest sculptures.
But over recent years the trail has fallen into disrepair.
Now Aberporth Community Council, in collaboration with Brychan, are putting together a grant bid to purchase interpretation boards and a new bilingual leaflet.
Community council chairman Cllr Anne McCreary said: “It will honour Dic’s memory and as a community I think we need to do that.”
The council will also look at improving access to the path which is overgrown and muddy.
