Collecting
NUMEROUS items of ‘rubbish’ can be recycled to raise funds for charities. The collection point for Barmouth is the Bookshop in Park Road by Oasis. The items to be collected are biscuit wrappers, old mobile phones, Tassimo pods, old spectacles, anti-perspirant and deodorant aerosols, milk, washing bottle and pop bottle tops, ink and toner cartridges, coffee jar lids, trigger spray tops and used stamps. All these items are sorted and passed to the various charities by Craig Dob-bins who has been developing a net-work of recyclers for several years. All the money raised is used for charitable purposes. Craig gives his time and energy free and really appreciates the support that the community gives him. He has a network of collection points, the next nearest being Youngs green-grocers in Dolgellau.
