BARMOUTH’s premier motoring event is returning this weekend

For the last 12 years, Barmouth has held a popular motocross event which brings crowds of tourists to the town.

The super-charged event will take place on the 15-16 of October and attracts hundreds of petrol heads to the town’s seaside to enjoy some high-adrenaline action for a weekend of motorcycle and quad bike racing across two-miles of beach track.

Barmouth Beach Motorcross organiser Tom Arnold said: “The town makes a considerable profit from the motorcross events as restaurants, supermarkets and public houses are always full during that weekend.

“Tourists flock to watch the motorcross event and the event runs at no cost to anyone in Barmouth.

“We assist the Wales Air Ambulance, Barmouth RNLI and donate towards the community bonfire every year as a show of good faith.

“I’m looking forward to another successful year.”
