AN ASPIRING Barmouth singer/songwriter has been given the chance of a lifetime to perform on one of the UK’s biggest radio stations.

Beth Wyn-Jones, 20, is celebrating winning a Future Breakers competition with her band Luna Rae who she formed alongside her friend and co-singer Myra Mwang’ombe.

Winning the competition has given the unsigned 20-year-old a fantastic platform to launch her budding music career.

The Future Breakers initiative, launched this year as part of the Vodafone Big Top 40 partnership with Global, offers Luna Rae the “money-can’t-buy” chance to record and produce their single Running for You with industry professionals, as well as having the live session broadcast online with the Vodafone Big Top 40 on Capital FM.

The double act – who met at university after Myra was impressed with Beth’s singing videos on Instagram – were keen singers as children and mainly performed on various social media sites before getting their big break with Vodafone Future Breakers.
