Madam,
Hundreds of people took on the Big Welsh Walk Challenge last year and conquered the landscapes of Ceredigion. Back by popular demand, Ramblers Cymru are encouraging people to step up for the challenge this June.
Starting in Devil’s Bridge, Ceredigion on Saturday, 2 June there are four walks to choose from, ranging from six to 20 miles. Each route will give walkers the chance to experience the stunning landscapes, highlighting breath-taking scenery along the way.
Our Big Welsh Walk has something to challenge everyone. We’ve devised four different walks, taking people through open moorlands, along valley gorges and glaciated valleys and climbing high into the Cambrian Mountains – so your efforts are sure to be rewarded.
Not only will you be challenging yourself to reach new heights, you’ll also be helping to raise funds to ensure incredible paths like these are well maintained for everyone to enjoy.
The Big Welsh Walk is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery to help everyone, everywhere enjoy walking.
The Big Welsh Walk costs £20 to enter. The money raised will go towards Ramblers Cymru’s charitable efforts to maintain paths across Wales. Volunteer teams throughout the nation work tirelessly to help maintain and improve paths each week so everyone can enjoy a walk in Wales, whether that’s to the local shops or to the top of a mountain.
On entering, participants will receive a Big Welsh Walk T-shirt, medal and can also enjoy discounted deals at selected local businesses, including accommodation, restaurants and attractions.

Angela Charlton, director, Ramblers Cymru.
