A COMINS Coch man has written a book detailing more than three decades of travelling through Spain on his trusty motorbike.

Sketches of Spain by Duncan Gough is described as ‘one man’s guide to the richness of Spain’.

The contents represents the fruits of over 30 years of Spanish trips and act as a novel guide to the country.

“It is a personal view and there are as many ways to enjoy Spain as there are tapas,” said Duncan, 59.

“I hope there will be things here that the reader is not aware of and suggestions that will enhance your own Spanish adventure.”

He went on: “I have deliberately not gone into great detail about all the sights and points of interest in the cities, this information is comprehensively available via the internet.

“Although written from mainly motorbike journeys, it is applicable to other forms of transport.”

Duncan has fallen in love with Spain and its inhabitants.

“Travelling in Spain is a wonderful experience,” he said.

“A new landscape to enjoy, great food and wine, an exceptionally friendly and accepting people and culture. Children are welcomed nearly everywhere and very rarely excluded from adult life."
