Madam,

Temptation is always to blame the council, blame the seagulls, blame the government - anybody in fact, other than the people who put rubbish bags out in the first place in Aberystwyth.

They put out unwashed recycling, put food waste in bin bags, and make no effort to clean, sort, separate and take responsibility for their own rubbish.

A good wind will then whip all this loose plastic into the sea whereupon it will find a new home in the stomach of a seabird, fish, or whale shark.

And it just looks fabulous as an advert for our town.
