IT HAS been a very busy time for the group of late, with a trip to Barmouth in fantastic weather for a wonderful scenic tour, thanks to John Coaches, amongst the highlights. The group was entertained by the children of Ysgol Craig yr Wylfa, the Penglais String Orchestra and, this week, it was Penglais Brass Band, who are off to represent their school and county in Germany in two weeks.Members have been thoroughly spoiled and said they are very grateful to the schools for allowing the children and young people to come to their meetings. The group also went back, in their minds, to their own school days with the help of Stuart Evans of Ceredigion Museum. He brought a number of items from the museum, including the Welsh Knot and a cane! The next trip will be to Llandudno, with some members stopping off at Bodnant Gardens. Call Joy on 871649 if you are interested in coming.
The group is very pleased to say that their school dinners at Ysgol Craig yr Wylfa have restarted and they are having great meals, prepared by Wendy. Some of the children are waiting on members and sometimes there is a song as well. The next meeting will be held in the hall on 7 July at 2pm for a strawberry tea.
