BORTH’S carnival queen for 2016 is Ayla Hulse, 14, from Ynyslas. Her crowning will take place on the fore-shore opposite Station Road on 23 July.Carnival day will be on Friday, 5 August.

British legion

ON 20 to 26 June, it is Armed Forces Week, and this is Borth’s opportunity to say thank you to our heroes, past and present. To this aim, a free veterans’ day concert will be held in the community hall today (Wednesday) from 7.30pm.Entertainment will be provided by Camddwr Male Voice Choir with solo-ist Evan Williams.Everyone is welcome.
