Madam,

We clearly have an important asset on Aberystwyth promenade in the form of our new bandstand. While there remains not unreasonable concern over the cost of this project, the fact is that we have an opportunity for this to be a real community hub. The bandstand must not be allowed to become a locked-up white elephant subjected to ‘only if’ criteria. Through your pages please can I encourage our county council to ensure that this building is utilised to the full; that community organisations are incentivised to use it and made aware of its availability. What is practically being done to promote this facility?
