This coronavirus is unprecedented and has changed all of our lives. For all of us our world has become a lot smaller, and a lot scarier.
The need to shop is now a necessity, and going round our local supermarket was not the usual joy: I, like all the other shoppers, scooting round as quickly as possible, with finding your usual item not there a regular obstacle.
Tinned tomatoes were available but only chopped, and it looks like people are taking time to do a proper brew of tea ,with no leaf tea in at all.
Shopping and seeing the look of seriousness on people’s faces, and trying to steer away from people was overall a chore in itself.
All of our lives have altered in many ways. With the family we have drawn closer too, with us all realising that life is indeed precious. And we all have our different worries, with one main one being our incomes.
We all want to get back to a world that is a lot less complicated, when doing normal things was allowed. And I think we will all appreciate our simple lives a lot more.
Reading the papers, I am so proud to be British - with over half a million Brits showing the world as only we do how to fight back, joining together to help those in need in their fight to get rid of this dreadful virus.
The NHS is in the frontline of this scourge, and we give thanks to all of them. This show of togetherness is what helped us win the war, and I’m sure we will win this one - the bulldog spirit is still alive!
