SOME Aberystwyth residents should expect “low pressure or discolouration” of their water supply after a burst water main this morning.
Welsh Water confirmed the burst to a water main on Llanbadarn Road, Aberystwyth, but said they are maintaining water supply while they work to fix the issue, and told motorists to expect delays on the road.
A Welsh Water spokesperson said: “We are working to repair a burst on a water main on Llanbadarn Road, Aberystwyth.
“We have a team on site working to fix the water main and we are trying to maintain supplies to customers whilst we resolve the issue.

“We would like to assure customers we are working as quickly as possible to resolve this.
“Traffic management will be in place on Llanbadarn Road while we make the repair to the pipe.
“This is due to the location of the burst and is necessary to protect the workforce and motorists.
“We have sent a text message to local customers we believe may be affected and we will keep customers informed. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
