AN event showcasing local businesses in the Dyfi Valley was held at an Enterprise Day at Machynlleth’s JobCentrePlus.
The event gave companies the chance to promote, advertise and sell products, as well as offer advice to customers and members of the public who might be considering starting their own business.
The businesses that took part had benefitted from advice and support from the Department of Work and Pensions and took part in the Enterprise Day as part of the JobCentre’s community engagement initiative.
Businesses that took part included Aerial Photography Pros, Botwm Back, Celf Dragon Heart Pottery, Digital Musketeer Creative and Media Consultancy, Dyfi Naturals Handmade Soap, Elin Angharad Leather Craft, Mental Rental Holiday Accommodation and Plant-i.
Alongside the business representatives there were work coaches from JobCentrePlus and professional advisors from Business Sense, Prime Cymru and Welsh for Business.
The event was opened by Mike Roberts, the JobCentrePlus manager; Machynlleth county councillor Michael Williams; and Sam Browne, the managing director of Plant-i.
