The countdown has begun for this year’s Gwynedd Business Awards.

With the closing date of Tuesday, 30 April, fast approaching, all independently owned businesses located in Gwynedd are being invited to submit their entries to be in with a chance of winning and gaining recognition for their success and contribution to the local economy.

There are five awards up for grabs this year. Perhaps you’ve come up with a fantastic new idea or started your own business as a young entrepreneur?

If you feel that someone has been a real inspiration to others during these testing times, here’s your chance to tell everyone about it by nominating an individual for the ‘Business Person of the Year’ award.

Cllr Ioan Thomas, Gwynedd Council Cabinet member for economic development, said: “Giving Gwynedd’s businesses the opportunity to showcase their talents is especially important at what is undeniably a difficult time for the business community.

"We believe that this year’s Gwynedd Business Week and Awards will play a key role in helping our businesses to overcome the current challenges, as well as recognising the accomplishments of the county’s businesses.

“Five awards will be available this year, and we would urge all independently owned businesses located in Gwynedd to submit their entries.

"The judges will be looking for exceptional achievement and growth potential, as well as evidence of the businesses’ contribution to Gwynedd’s economy, community and environmental sustainability.”

If you’d like to enter the competition, application forms are available online or by contacting the Gwynedd Business Awards team on 01248 365912 or [email protected].
