A FISH and chip shop that has served the people of Nefyn for 80 years has closed its doors for the last time.

The shop on the High Street closed on 29 October.

For the last 30 years, the shop has been ran by husband and wife Richard Williams, 63 and Lis, 62. Before they took over the business, it was run by Richard’s parents, John and Megan Williams, Richard’s parents.

The couple are taking an early retirement.

Richard said; “It’s been a good 30 years, with plenty of good times, and a real pleasure to serve the locals and visitors, that’s the one thing we will miss the most, our customers.

"We would like to thank them for their support over the years.”
