A HARDWORKING couple are winding up their business after 20 years of selling houses.

Andy and Alison Sanderson, of Sanderson Estate Agents in Barmouth, have decided to retire early after enjoying some time abroad.

Last Friday was Andy’s last day in the office after two decades of working with real estate.

“After a truly amazing holiday in New Zealand and a lovely time in Cornwall we have come to the conclusion there is more to life than work,” said the Sandersons. It’s time to smell the roses and enjoy what the area offers.

“We have decided to retire earlier than anticipated and Sanderson estate agents will be closing. We can be found walking, relaxing and training for the Ironman – or at least Andy will be in 2022.

“After nearly 20 years in the Barmouth office, last Friday was Simon’s last day.

“Born in Barmouth as the son of the chemist he wants to stay working locally so any job offers will be gratefully received! Anyone wanting a grumpy old estate agent message him!

“We have had a great 20 years being part of the Barmouth community and we will miss all the people who have supported us, bought and sold through us, and in one case blamed us for the storm in 2014, and the price fall in Fairbourne! That is the truth.

“Our office will be closing at the end of this month although we will still be contactable by telephone or email and we will all still be around.”
