A LLYN brewery, set up by 12 friends five years ago, is opening its doors to the public.

The Cwrw Llyn Partnership is welcoming visitors to its site at Parc Eithin, Nefyn, where they can hear the remarkable story of this venture, see a specially produced film on the history of brewing on the Peninsula as well as the story behind the names of the beers, seeing the brewing process and taste the produce.

Brewery manager, Iwan Foel, said: “We are now beginning a new chapter in the development of the venture, increasing our capacity threefold and also being able to meet and greet customers from far and wide who have an interest in us as local producers who have an affinity with the history and heritage of Llyn.

“While proud of our local roots, welcoming visiting tourists from further afield is part of the company’s future intentions.

“Whilst Welsh is the working language of the brewery, the film in the new development has been translated in to seven European languages. This expansion has created three new roles.”

Mei, from Nefyn, assists with deliveries of casks and bottles with the Brewery Van; Ffion Catrin from Llithfaen, welcomes customers on to the Brewery tours and shop; Ann, from Rhoshirwaun, manages the office and logistics.
