A Llanbedr barber is hoping to prove she is a cut above the rest with a little help from her customers.
Sophie Collins from Soph’s Barbershop is in the running to be named Welsh Barber of the Year, the only finalist outside of Cardiff.
In order to win, Sophie will need to win the public vote which opened last week.
To vote visit www.nhf.info/welsh-awards to find the unique code for the finalist you want to vote for.
Nominees will hear who the winners are at the Welsh Awards on Sunday, 3 November.
Sophie has scooped a number of awards in recent years, being named Best Wet Shaving Barber in 2017 and Best Welsh Shave last year.
Sophie said: “It’s great to be recognised and to be the only barbers outside of Cardiff to make the final.
“I need as many votes as possible and I’m asking people to visit the website and vote for us.
“Thankfully voting is free.”
The NHF/NBF Welsh Region will be hosting an awards dinner at the Coal Exchange, Cardiff to crown the winners and celebrate the success of some of the best hair, beauty and barbering businesses in Wales.
NHF/NBF president, Ian Egerton said: “Thank you to all the nominees who entered this year’s awards.
“It’s now up to the people of Wales to have their say and vote for the business or individual they want to see win.
“We can’t wait to see how people will vote and who the winners will be when announced in November.”
The NHF/NBF’s system will only allow one vote from each mobile telephone number for each unique text code.
That means you may only vote once, the system will disregard any duplicate numbers, but the owner of the telephone may still be charged for the text. Texts will be charged at the standard network rate.
