A TOAST has been raised to the best bars, pubs and clubs in Ceredigion at the annual Best Bar None awards.

The awards had returned to Ceredigion for 2016 and owners, managers and staff from 16 local pubs, leisure complexes, clubs and bars attended the award ceremony for well-run licensed businesses in Y Consti, Aberystwyth, to receive their awards.

Leader of Ceredigion County Council, Cllr Ellen ap Gwynn said: “This award is an opportunity to publicly recognise venues operating to the highest standard and to appreciate the hard work of managers and their staff who make every effort to provide a safe and enjoyable place for local people and visitors alike”.

The Best Bar award went to Inn on the Pier, Aberystwyth.

Pier Brasserie, in the same building, received the award for Best Pub, while the alongside Pier Pressure was awarded Best Club.

The Best Leisure Complex went to The View at Brynrodyn.

Dai Mason, chair of Ceredigion County Council congratulated all Best Bar None winners for keeping standards high for their customers and thanked them for participating.
