DOLGELLAU’S new Local Information Centre served hundreds of people within just days of opening.
The LIC is the product of a collaboration between the Dolgellau Partnership and local volunteers who want to offer advice and services to visitors and locals alike following the recent closure of the town’s Tourist Information Centre.
Town councillor Jo Checkley, a driving force in the new initiative, wished to thank all those who had worked hard to set up the new information centre.
“The LIC will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday thanks to our team of willing volunteers,” she said.
“We’re still actively seeking new volunteers though so please come and see me in the pet shop if you can offer a few hours of your time.
