Madam,

I’d like to point out an error made in one of your articles in 3 March issue of the Cambrian News.

I refer to an article on the bottom of page 7 (Arfon/Dwyfor edition) headlined ‘Group air-lifted off mountain after woman taken ill’.

The article starts by stating ‘A stricken woman and her party had to be airlifted off south Snowdonia’s highest peak ……’. The article went on to say that this incident was on Cader Idris.

This is where the error/contradiction lies. Aran Fawddwy, at a height of 905m, is higher than Cader Idris, at 893m.

This therefore does not make Cader Idris ‘south Snowdonia’s highest peak’.This is the second time I’ve had to point this out to a local organisations.

Yours etc

Mr D Jones

Tremadog.
