THE OWNER of the new café at the revamped Ceredigion Museum in Aberystwyth claims he has been targeted by saboteurs who have repeatedly damaged his advertising board.
Mike Dixon, of the Coliseum Coffee House, said posters have been removed, a plastic base has been damaged and a bolt removed that holds up the board he has placed at the promenade end of Terrace Road.
Mike, who believes the damage is being caused deliberately, said: “We’re a couple of months on from our opening; we’ve been really happy with how things have gone to date, our staff are doing a great job, the customers seem to like what we are doing and the museum provides a really vibrant environment for us to operate in.
“However, for several weeks now we’ve been plagued with what can only be described as sabotage to the A-board we place at the promenade end of Terrace Road.
“If somebody, whether another retailer or anybody else, has a problem with us trying to promote our business in this way, I wish they would just speak to us. I’m sure they’d find us reasonable.”
