The Cambrian News has once again been shortlisted for the Wales Media Awards Welsh Weekly Newspaper of the Year title.
The current holders of the title, the paper is in the running to win the industry accolade for a third time.
Also nominated are the County Times and the Western Telegraph.
The awards will be presented at a prestigious black-tie ceremony at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in March.
Cambrian News editor Natalie Lawson said: “Myself and my hard-working team are thrilled to be shortlisted again.
"It’s lovely to receive recognition for all the hard work and passion that goes into producing our newspaper for our loyal readers.”
The competition’s 35 independent judges made their selection from the 240 entries received this year from individual print, online, radio and television journalists and from newspapers, web outlets and broadcasters in 20 categories.
The Wales Media Awards are organised on behalf of the Journalists’ Charity by Spencer David with the support of headline sponsor Camelot.
The winners of each category, along with the winners of the Journalist of the Year and Outstanding Contribution Awards, will be announced at a prestigious black tie ceremony at the Mercure Holland House Hotel, Cardiff, on 20 March hosted by BBC Cymru Wales presenter Lucy Owen and ITV Cymru Wales’ Jonathan Hill.
The evening is the major Welsh fundraiser for the Journalists’ Charity, which supports working and retired journalists in urgent need with advice, grants and other forms of financial assistance.
