He would love to know more about it, as he explained.

“I’m not sure if you are able to help me but I attach an old photograph which we have always had within the family,” he said.

“I know that it dates from the 1910s and that it was taken by a Cardigan-based photographer, Harold Squibbs.

“The trouble we have is that we have no idea who is in the photo or indeed where it was taken. I do know however that my x3 great-grandparents were of the south-west Cardiganshire area...

“I was just wondering if you would be able to help us with this in any way?

“One of your readers may recognise some faces or indeed the house in the photo?”
