A HAILSTORM which caused slippery road conditions saw a car overturn after leaving the road near Ponterwyd.

The red 4x4 was turned on its side after sliding off the road into a grass bank near the Red Kite cafe on the A44 between Ponterwyd and Goginan at around 12.50pm on Monday, 7 March.

One lane was closed for around an hour while awaiting recovery, with officers from the Ceredigion Road Policing Unit directing traffic flow.

No other cars were involved in the incident and no injuries were reported.
