A NORTH Wales motorcycle club received a donation from Llanfarian Community Council after stopping off in the village overnight.

The Widows Sons chapter stopped off at Llanfarian as part of a three-day ride from Connah’s Quay to Merthyr Tydfil to raise money for charity Blood Bikes Wales which transports blood and medical material to hospitals.

Keith Jarvis, the secretary of the group, said they hold a charity fundraising ride every year.

Alan Sullivan, president of the biker group, received the cheque from council chairman Ieuan Jones and Cllr Ivy Jones.
