A LLANYSTUMDWY toddler has made it through to the finals of a beauty competition.

Three-year-old Casi Rhys (seen right) has been named as a finalist in this year’s Little Miss Natural Beauty Wales competition, which will be held in July.

If Casi is successful in the Welsh round, she will go on to the international finals which are held in Spain later in the year.

Her mum, Angharad Hughes, said: “It’s a great opportunity to gain confidence, make some new friends and to build up your self-esteem.”

The competition encourages finalists to work in the community and raise money for charity.

Angharad added: “We are visiting ambulance officers next week with some donations for their hard work.”

This year’s chosen charity is Giddo’s Gift, which aims to improve the lives of teenagers and young adults suffering with cancer in Wales.
