In the Cambrian News letters page of 3 October, Paul Evans wrote about other eyesores in Harlech. He doesn’t say which, so do we assume it’s Harlech Castle he’s referring to? The castle may be old and dilapidated but it pays its way.

I, being from a fifth generation Welsh family, the Prossers from South Wales, am proud of all the castles in Wales. They stand as testimony to the wars fought long ago. We do need to look after the past buildings for our ancestors. Lessons from the past give us insight into the future.
