GARY chaired the August committeee meeting.

Chris reported healthy balances with income of £330.50 since the last meeting against higher expenditure due in part to payment of the annual insurance premium (£672.83) and security system annual maintenance check (£180).

The faulty electric hob has now been replaced with a new one, led bulbs replaced and a new uplighter ordered.

There will also be the usual temporary drop in income for a few weeks as some classes are taking a break until September.

A bank mandate was completed and resolution minuted updating the signatories on the bank accounts.

Film nights will take a break from 5 August until 9 September.

Everyone was very happy with the design of the new colour posters.

Vole had prepared mini-flyers advertising September’s films in time for the following evening.

Richard reported on the Community Garden and stressed the need for plot rentals to be paid promptly so that reserves can be built up for necessary expenses like a new mower

Wendy agreed to ask the WI to contact Michael Morgans regarding clarification of whether the village is eligible for a centrally-sited defibrillator.

Trish has said she would like to organise a beer festival again this year and will liaise with Chris regarding available dates.
