A ST David’s Day Concert given by Côr y Golff with soloist Dafydd Rhun Williams from Mold at Y Ganolfan, Nefyn, raised over £1,250 on the night with subsequent donations of £110 giving a grand total of £1,360.
The charity concert was in memory of two Nefyn babies, Efan Wyn and Bobbi Rees, and the money raised will pay for a car hoist for young Cai Morgan, of Nefyn.
Cai’s mother, Bethan Morgan, in thanking everyone, said she was overwhelmed with the support the concert appeal had received.
“The concert was a wonderful evening with complimentary reports coming from all who attended, but I never imagined it would have raised this amount of money,” she said.
Shan said she wished to thank Mel from the Nanhoron Hotel for providing the soup, Dwyfor Coffee for the tea and coffee and The Spar, Nefyn, for providing the milk and sugar. She thanked all those who gave raffle prizes and finally, Dafydd Rhun and the choir, for working so hard to present such a successful and enjoyable evening.
