WELSH Hearts will be holding a charity lunch on Sunday, 26 June, at Llanina Arms, Llanarth, to raise money for more defibrillators across Wales.
The charity, which received a donation of £850 from a concert held by Megan Jones last month, is also celebrating the launch of its heart screening programme and will be at Cardigan Secondary School on Saturday, 6 August.
The guest speaker at the charity Sunday lunch will be consultant cardiologist at Bronglais Hospital, Donogh McKeogh.
All of the money raised from the event will be put towards The Dai Fib Appeal which funds the widespread provision of defibrillators across Wales. It will be a chance to find out about plans to get more defibrillators in communities across Ceredigion.
Meinir Lewis, fund-raising manager for mid and west Wales at Welsh Hearts, said: “This is a great event for coming together with friends, meeting new people and supporting the life-saving work carried out by Welsh Hearts."
Tickets for the Sunday lunch event at Llanina Arms can be purchased from the Welsh Hearts fund-raising office on 02920 786521, or you can book online at welshhearts.org/events.
