A BARMOUTH entrepreneur’s company has made a four-figure donation to a cancer charity.
Job agency Clear Sky Recruitment, established by Ross Porter, raised an impressive £1,045 after staging a charity raffle in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
The winners of the raffle won tickets to witness Wales beating Italy 67-14, in the home side’s final game of the Six Nations.
Other prizes included Cardiff City tickets, a luxury spa visit and a round of golf (claimed by Barmouth resident Wil Huntley).
Claire Porter, director of Clear Sky Recruitment, said: “The raffle was a huge success and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket to support the event.
“Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.
“Breast cancer is the name given to cancers that have first developed in breast tissue. There are many different types.
“Thanks to research, more people are surviving breast cancer than ever before.
“More than 80 per cent of women with breast cancer are still alive five years after diagnosis, but around 50,000 women are still diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
“Around 12,000 women die each year from the disease.”
