THE Meirion Dwyfor branch of a national charity has celebrated its first anniversary by announcing its volunteers have raised an astonishing five-figure sum.

Members of the Meirion Dwyfor Marie Curie fundraising group celebrated their first anniversary in November and wish to thank the local community for all of their support in raising the amazing total of £16,514.91.

Since forming in November 2016, the last 12 months have proven to be a huge success for this local group of volunteers who meet monthly to plan and facilitate a host of fundraising activities across the mid and south Gwynedd area.

In addition to delivering the charity’s national campaigns, such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and The Blooming Great Tea Party, the group has also hosted several of its own events and supported local members of the public who have chosen to support Marie Curie.

If you are interested in volunteering with the group or you would like to support them in anyway, contact Victoria on 07720 949007 or email [email protected]
